Our governance structure includes a board of non-executive and executive board members. The board provides leadership, direction, support and challenge. Our executive team is responsible for delivering services. You can see our organisation's governance and committee structure chart at the bottom of this page.

We also have an Audit and Assurance Committee which operates on these terms of reference and a People and Culture Committee which operates on these terms of reference.

Compliance with consumer standards

We have joint leads for this responsibility:

  • Chief Investment Officer focuses on the safety and quality standard 
  • Chief Customer and Communities Officer focuses on transparency, influence and accountability, tenancy, and neighbourhood and community.

Customers sit on our scrutiny group to review our services in line with our commitment to co-regulation.

Jon Foster

Jon Foster
Jon is an independent consultant and executive coach specialising in risk, governance and organisational improvement across the housing, public and charity sectors. Before establishing his consultancy, he spent six years as Director of Operational Risk at Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing, where he led operational quality, customer safety, safeguarding and regulatory compliance across frontline housing and social care services for a large provider, helping to strengthen services, assurance and organisational performance.
His career has included senior roles in housing and local government, including work on the Grenfell recovery programme, alongside experience supporting organisations through complex, high-profile challenges and driving lasting improvement.
Jon currently serves as a non-executive NExT Director on the board of the  Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust and was recognised in Inside Housing's 40 Under 40 list for his contribution to the housing sector. He brings to the Board a strong focus on customer safety, effective governance and ensuring organisations remain connected to the people and communities they serve.
