Housing for older people
Housing for Older People
Properties for older people are available to purchase, either leasehold or freehold, at six attractive schemes across Devon and Cornwall. These are specifically for people over 60 years of age, with the exception of Jurys Corner in Newton Abbot which is for 58+.
These retirement schemes take much of the stress out of home ownership and provide services such as maintaining, repairing and improving the communal areas of the buildings and grounds. All of our retirement housing sites have scheme managers and provide the highest quality management service at a realistic cost to owners.
We have two leasehold schemes for older people in Cornwall. They are at Bulleid Way in Bude and Molesworth Court in Wadebridge. Properties here can be purchased at 30% discount of market value and resold at 30% discount of market value.
More information can be found here: Leasehold Scheme for Older People and if you would like to apply for one of these properties you can download an application form here.
There are three freehold schemes managed by Westward at Dower Court, Paignton, Ashburn Gardens, Ashburton and Jurys Corner Close, Kingskerwell. These properties are normally advertised on the open market via local estate agents rather than sold directly by Westward. Regent House in Paignton town centre offers leasehold flats which are sold via local estate agents.
