New lettings standard
As part of our recent customer scrutiny group review of our void service (empty homes), we have reviewed and re-written our lettable standard. The new standard has enhanced our previous version, by clarifying the standard in areas such as decorating and cleaning.
• It encourages the recycling of floor coverings wherever possible, which can be cleaned and left for the new customer.
• Noise nuisance has been considered and we have allowed for anti-vibration mats to be used in washing machine spaces above ground floor.
• The control of damp and mould by ensuring a humidity controlled continuous running extractor fan is in place.
• Improved our standard around fire safety by ensuring smoke and heat detectors are interlinked and provide coverage in hall, landing, kitchen, and main living room.
• Improved substantiated our standard around external areas, ensuring that gardens and vegetation are left in good condition that enables customers to easily take on the responsibility or managing and maintaining them.
