Don't suffer in silence

Christmas is a time for joy but sadly this isn’t the case for everyone. Across the UK police forces often see a spike in domestic abuse cases at Christmas. During the festive period an increase in alcohol consumption and financial pressure within families can lead to physical abuse within relationships.

It can also be a catalyst for psychological abuse with coercive and controlling behaviour creating fear in relationships and homes. If you are currently experiencing, or have experienced, domestic abuse then you probably feel vulnerable and isolated.

You are not alone, we work with many services to support those who are affected by domestic abuse. Click here for some information to help you make an informed decision.

If you, or someone you know, is in immediate danger, call 999 and ask for the police. Silent calls will work if it is not safe to speak - use the Silent Solution system and call 999 and then press 55 when prompted.
