Our board and executive team

Our governance structure includes a board of non-executive and executive board members. The board provides leadership, direction, support and challenge. Our executive team is responsible for delivering services.
We also have an Audit and Assurance Committee which operates on these terms of reference and a Remuneration and Membership Committee which operates on these terms of reference.
Customers sit on our scrutiny group to review our services in line with our commitment to co-regulation.

Passionate about working with people and communities, making a difference and delivering excellent customer service, Sue has extensive experience in social housing. Her driving force has been to make a positive difference, working innovatively and creatively to do so with a focus on leading business and cultural change, developing new business opportunities and implementing initiatives to improve customer service experiences.
Sue joined Capital Letters in June 2019 as its first CEO and first employee. She led the establishment of the company from a standing start, creating the company’s vision, corporate strategy
and operating model, growing membership, staff numbers and the range of services the company provides to deliver these.
Sue’s career in housing has covered a range of roles - executive and non-executive - across the breadth of the sector including local government, housing associations and commercial companies. Prior to Capital Letters, she was director of partnerships at RentPlus UK Ltd, another start-up company established to provide affordable rent-to-buy homes. She’s held executive roles including group director of Housing and Communities at DCH Group (now LiveWest), managing director of both Three Valleys Housing (part of ema Group) and OGL Housing, plus group corporate services director at Orbit.
Moving from Coventry to Devon in 2013 has meant Sue can make the most of her love of the sea, watersports, walking and the countryside.
