Westward is awarded highest rating for viability, governance and consumer standards by Regulator of Social Housing

We have been inspected by the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) and are delighted that they assess Westward as being a customer-focused and listening organisation.

Our RSH rating is V1, G1 and C1.

This means that our excellent Financial Viability (V) and Governance (G) top gradings have been retained.

We also now have the top grading of C1 for Consumer Standards (C) – a new standard introduced in 2024 and the first regulatory assessment of our:

  • Safety and quality
  • Transparency, influence and accountability
  • Tenancy
  • Neighbourhood and community

We are pleased to receive this assurance that those top gradings across all aspects of our business and service offer to customers in Devon and Cornwall. This maintains our place as one of the highest performing social landlords in the region.

The assessment by the Regulator in winter 2025/ spring 2026 reflects the hard work and commitment of all our colleagues, actively involved customers and the board, not just for the inspection period but also over the months and years before and reflects our exciting plans for the future.

These are about:

  • Offering services that customers trust
  • Providing affordable and quality homes
  • Being financially robust and achieving great value
  • All delivered by empowered and valued colleagues

It’s fantastic to achieve this great inspection result. It’s a great foundation for us to keep on listening and learning so that we further improve on our homes and services.
