A message from Barbara Shaw, Chief Executive
I have been at Westward for more than ten years, and I can honestly say that during this time the landscape of social housing has changed significantly especially over the last five years with the challenges of covid and the cost-of-living crisis.
Despite these challenges we have endeavoured to deliver a great service to you all although I acknowledge that we don’t get it right all of the time.
But, I’m immensely proud of what we have all achieved and it has been a privilege to be part of such a successful organisation, that has retained its financial and governance regulatory standard status in these uncertain times.
I think it is now right to hand over to another who can work with the Westward Board to lead Westward into the future.
So, the Board will now start its search for a new chief executive and are very clear about what they are looking for in terms of sharing Westward's values and having customers at the very centre of what we do.
In the meantime I will be here until October carrying on with our work to deliver great services to you, our customers.
