Main Westward repairs contractor to change in Jan 2027
Westward has an internal repairs service, Westward Property Services, which serves northern areas of our Devon and Cornwall homes. In other areas, repairs to Westward homes are currently provided by our main contractor, MD Group.
Westward and MD Group have mutually agreed to discontinue this service on Saturday 9 January 2027.
We wish to reassure our customers that the long lead-in time of almost six months means that we can work to deliver a smooth transition for all parties concerned; so that we continue to provide a good repairs service.
The lines of communication remain collaborative and open, and we will provide further updates on progress in due course.
Westward would like to thank MD Group and its people for the great service that has been provided to Westward since 2019 and wish them well for the future.
We now enter a six-month transition period where colleagues from Westward property team will work to identify restructures within the service and consider other providers. The focus being to ensure outstanding provision to Westward customers that provide great value for money whilst maintaining high quality homes.
