Families moving into great quality Westward homes in Winklegh
21 households are moving into their new homes in Winkleigh, built by Lovell and provided by Westward.
Winkleigh, situated in the heart of Devon, now has 21 desirable new affordable homes as part of a wider estate of 71 homes.
The mix of one, two and three bedroom homes are made up of flats and house, they are 'section 106' and so require a local connection for the 16 rental Westward properties. 5 shared ownership homes were also provided.
New resident Lyndon said; "It was a stressful moving day but it was worth it. The house is lovely. It was exactly what I needed as I know live close to my mum who is disabled and needs care - she is just down the road. I also have downsized to one bedroom which is a lot better and easier for me. I don't drive but I can go anywhere here with the regular bus service - I don't feel like a hermit crab."
The homes have high building regulations standards with energy efficiency performance (EPC) rating to a standard of B and air source heat pumps. A well-maintained, settled and secure home environment is a foundation for life.
