A very special letter
A few weeks ago, we sent a letter to The Queen telling her all about our celebrations across our Support and Older People's Services for her Platinum Jubilee. We shared photos of the parties, raffles and bake sales that you held. Just to show her what a fabulous time we had celebrating her long reign.
Yesterday we had a very poignant piece of mail in the post - we received a letter back from her acknowledging our celebrations. It must have been sent only days before her passing.
Like the rest of the world, we are deeply saddened by the passing of Queen Elizabeth ll so to receive this letter was especially moving and special. We will treasure it and wanted to share it with all of you who celebrated her wonderful reign back in the summer months.
