Our board members see future homes taking shape in Colebrook
Westward's board members recently visited our new development site in Colebrook, Plympton, getting a firsthand look at the new homes under construction.
Seeing the project in person provides crucial insight and strengthens our commitment to delivering high quality affordable homes.
The 43 new homes, being built by award-winning Classic Builders, are currently on track with our first set of handovers to take place in Autumn 2025. The site will offer:
- 20 social rent homes
- 9 'Rent to Buy' homes
- 14 shared ownership homes
The new homes on this significant site are being provided in partnership with and jointly funded by Plymouth City Council’s Plan for Homes initiative and Homes England’s ‘Affordable Housing Programme’ alongside funding from Westward.
Westward is selling the shared ownership homes which will be available on our website sales pages. Rental homes will be let on Devon Home Choice. The rent to buy homes provide an opportunity for people to save for a deposit so they can then buy the home they are renting.
The homes will have a high standard EPC (energy efficiency performance) rating of B and have sustainable timber frame construction with solar photovoltaic panels.
Board members agreed that homes are progressing at a great pace and are looking forward to soon welcoming delighted new occupants.
