Westward Housing Group is a major housing association in the south west.
It encompasses Help to Buy South West and Horizon Homes. As a developing landlord, we build new homes across the region, working in partnership with local authorities to rent homes to those in need.
We are a large organisation with over 300 employees based around various sites in the South West including our offices in Newton Abbot, Bideford and Plymouth as well as our support projects.

The roles within this area of the business can range from Support Workers to Services Managers and the responsibilities of these positions are project specific. We cover a wide range of client groups across Torbay, Devon, Plymouth and Cornwall. These include people with mental health issues, alcohol or drug issues, a history of offending, people with learning, physical or sensory impairments and long-term conditions, younger or older people with support needs, teenage parents and people at risk of domestic abuse or homelessness. Being part of the Support Services team, you will work closely with these clients in supporting people to achieve their personal outcomes. We seek to promote independence, improved quality of life and better social inclusion. We also get alongside people on their individual journeys, enabling them to identify their needs and aspirations and how they wish to manage their safety and wellbeing and meet their goals.
WPS (Westward Property Services) is the arm of the business that focuses on building maintenance and refurbishments of our homes and accommodations across Devon and Cornwall. The teams within WPS consist of qualified Gas Engineers, Electricians, Plumbers, Multi Skilled Tradespeople who respond to request from our residents or proactively improve our properties. Working alongside them, you will find our office support staff who ensure contracts run on time and within budget. Within WPS we also offer apprenticeships to aspiring multi skilled tradesperson who are looking for on the job training and a long term career that in that arena.
Office and Central
Office and Central is made up of an array of different departments and you will find our teams based in our three main offices; Templar House (Newton Abbot), Tarka House (Bideford) and Endurance House (Plymouth). The roles we offer in our offices can range from Customer Services Assistants, HR, Finance, IT, Communications and Business Support. Each post is integral to the smooth running of our business, not just for the residents but for our 300+ staff as well. The Executive team are also based within these open plan offices, providing the opportunity for cross-departmental conversation, collaboration and a supportive working culture.
