Westward seeks local grounds maintenance and window cleaning contractors
Westward is encouraging small local contractors to quote for works with 13 of the South West’s housing providers, who manage 90,000 properties, using an easy to use online Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS).
The DPS has been created by Westward and the procurement consortium Advantage SW on behalf of the regions housing providers and will allow local companies to bid for grounds maintenance contracts and window and gutter cleaning. This is in an effort to support enterprise in Devon and Cornwall whilst delivering value and service to Westward customers.
The expectation is that the DPS will help to lower barriers that small contractors sometimes feel are prohibitive when trying to work with public sector organisations. All that is required is to submit a simple questionnaire on the Advantage SW Tenders website.
Westward Executive Director of Operations Nigel Barnard said: “We are encouraging local firms to register as these contracts are often small and very localised. We also aim to get good value for money for our customers and reduce the burden of bureaucracy on all involved.”
To apply for inclusion in the DPS please go to www.advantageswtenders.co.uk to register on the tendering portal. You will then be able to download, complete and return the DPS questionnaire.
