Dream of owning your own home?
Help to Buy is a government-funded programme of affordable home ownership, designed to help anyone who wishes to buy or rent a home but cannot afford to do so on the open market.
We can offer you various ways to own or rent a home with dozens of different housing associations and developers.
Who is Help to Buy for?
Demand for some of our schemes is high and so unfortunately not everyone will be eligible. In some areas, if the local authority funds the scheme, the criteria may be tailored to meet the housing need in that area. For example, priority may be awarded to people with a local connection - either family or work; we ask you to list any such connections when you apply.
Why do I have to register?
You need to register with us so we can assess your application, check you are eligible and approve you to start looking for your ideal affordable home to buy or rent. You can search and apply for properties on our site once you are registered.
Help to Buy South West is a government-appointed Help to Buy agent providing a 'one-stop-shop' service in the region. By registering with us, you will be assessed to identify the housing schemes you are eligible for. We work with a number of housing associations, private developers, estate agents and local authorities to ensure you see all the opportunities available to you.
