Helps Make Electricity More Affordable For Up To 900 Properties

 

Westward Housing Group member, Westcountry Housing, and Anesco, have sealed a double ‘first of its kind’ deal to provide free low carbon electricity to up to 900 properties identified as suitable for photovoltaic (PV) electric solar panels across Devon and Cornwall..

A governance restructure process has been looking at refining the board and various service panel options, for the boards to consider in January.  Westcountry customers have been consulted by post and all Group customers have been informed.

 

Our HomeBuy Agent ‘South West Homes’ is celebrating helping its 1,000th buyer get onto the property ladder with the government HomeBuy Direct scheme which dramatically cuts the upfront cost of home purchase.

1,000th purchaser, Andrew Kirkham, said “Debbie and I have two children and without the HomeBuy scheme, buying a house big enough for us all would have been impossible.”

 

Westward has been recognised as an approved development provider for The Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM), hot on the heels of Westward’s Jo Willis winning Business Administration Apprentice of the Year.

The Group has gained Investors in People status across every member organisation recently.

Westward also has some big initiatives happening in Learning and Development, in the shape of e-learning pilots and a new project on leadership succession planning has begun.
